- All four strokes legal
- Capable of legal starts, turns and transitions
- Able to use basic clock instructions
- Understand and work from written instructions
- Work towards the “Competitive Start Award” standard
- Achieve good standards in regular “Test sets”
£57 monthly plus annual membership fee.

Swimming should be one of many activities for the athlete. The swimmer should be team orientated in terms of spirit & attitude. Swimmers are expected to enter any Devon Championships that they qualify for in conjunction with their coach’s wishes and to enter Devon Developments. A basic log book of all sessions must be completed.
Recommended Practice Attendance:
6 – 10 hours per week depending on age and ability and in discussion with coach
Skills on all strokes, turns and starts
50m, 100, and 200m on all strokes, 400 F/S and 200m and 400m IM
Devon Championships (9yr+), Devon Developments (9yr+), Level 1 – 3 meets. All Inter club competitions.
Water bottle, kick board, small pull buoy, fins, kit bag, two pairs of goggles , training snorkel (preferable) and swim hat. Please make sure all items are named.
