On Friday 20th September 2019 we hosted our annual Presentation Evening to celebrate our successes throughout the 2018-2019 season. It was an evening of pride, celebration and fun. The Devon ASA Open Water Championships were held on Saturday 7th September at Teignmouth Beach. It was a beautiful day, with near perfect sea conditions. The sea temperature was around 17 degrees which meant it would be a wetsuit swim, as per FINA rules. Congratulations to Gemma Owen who finished in an impressive 3rd place in the Women's 18 to 24 years age group 5K race at the recent Open Water Masters event in Peterborough. Gemma completed her swim in a time of 1 hour, 26 minutes and 54 seconds to win her Bronze Medal. Well done Gemma!
